Professional Machine Shop
The fully equipped machine shop is kitted out with all the quality woodworking machinery needed for the professional furniture maker and craftsman.
Board storage and solid timber racking is provided.

3.6m guillotine combined with a 3.3m x 1.3m heated platten press.
Our Building
We take pride in our building, transformed over the past seven years. The workshop, a mid-century sawtooth-roofed gem, now features 164 solar panels on the new west wing roof, generating about 60,000KWh annually. This enhances our energy independence, reduces costs, and lowers our carbon footprint. Our pelleter converts extraction waste into free woodburner pellets for renters, while suitable sheet and timber waste is burned in our industrial wood waste heater.
We are dedicated to sustainability, fostering a creative community that values both craftsmanship and environmental responsibility.
We have a well-equipped kitchen, hi-speed wi-fi, access to office hot desking, use of an A1 plotter and a client meeting room that overlooks the impressive humming workshop.

Scott Workshops is based in Newhaven, East Sussex, just ten miles from Brighton & Hove.
The railway station is less than 10 minutes away, offering good transport links to Lewes, Haywards Heath, and London. Not forgetting a ferry to Dieppe!
The Avis way industrial zone includes Screwfix, Toolstation, Travis Perkins, excellent metalworkers and engineers as well as a local Sicilian deli.
