A mid-century factory powered by the sun

Scott Workshops is committed to reducing our waste and carbon footprint wherever possible. We are powered largely by renewable energy from our array of 63 solar panels and have been recycling our wood waste as fuel pellets since 2018 – soon after we relocated from a former brewery in Portslade Village to our handsome mid-mod factory building on Avis Way in Newhaven

With both single and double benches available, all renters have access to the machine shop on a flexible book-as-you-need basis or as a six-month license for the best rates

Our machine shop is kitted out comprehensively with all the quality woodworking machinery needed for professional carpentry, joinery and furniture-making

Our 10,000 sq ft interior offers plenty of room for both freelancers and growing businesses working across single or combination benches. Full-time renters are free to configure their workspace as they prefer and enjoy complete use of all machines excluding our specialist in-house veneering services (available by demand and priced on a per-project basis)
